Virtual Eye admits 'fourth stump' mistake in SCG Test Share Tweet When a review for LBW against Steve Smith showed four stumps on replay © Agencies In the  recent SCG Test  between India and Australia, an LBW appeal against Steve Smith in the second innings had been reviewed by the bowling side after the onfield umpire ruled in favour of the batsman. In the replays, a fourth stump had surfaced 'mysteriously' on the screen. The operators of the Decision Review System (DRS) have now admitted the gaffe. "We reported that immediately to the people we work with at the ICC because it was a mistake on our part -- fortunately it did not affect the decision, the umpire was correct, but is should not have happened.
